State Park Preview

The kids are still off at church camp. Craig and I decided to take the day and preview two state parks that are close by before going to camp at them. Dyson went along for the ride. He decided that the best camp sites had picnic tables, trees and NO Lions or Bears. We found tons that met those requirements. I think Dyson might join us on a camp out in the fall.

Lake Bob Sandlin State Park
One of the screened shelters.

The group area pavilion.
The fishing pier.

The playground.

Cool swim area and platform.

Dangerfield State Park

Dangerfield is going to be closed July 5th 2010. The estimate is for about 8 months for capital improvements. The park itself is beautiful. I can't wait to camp there when it opens back up.

Swim Lessons

I was able to work with Madalynn and Dyson today while swimming. I am so proud of them, they are both great swimmers!

All The Cousins

Noah came up for a surprise visit this week. The kids all had a lot of fun together at the pool. Thanks Amanda for letting us invade your space.

Swim Meet and Pool Time

We had our first swim meet of the year. The kids were just awesome. They worked very hard and have ribbons to show it.

We start our days at the pool. Head home for lunch and then end up back at the pool. I suspect that we will be going through tons of sun screen this year.

Memorial Day

I am thankful to all of those who gave their lives for our country. I am thankful to live in a country where we have all of the freedoms that we have. I am also thankful for my friends and family who are here to share times like these.

Pirates From Grammar Island

The school year is quickly coming to an end, we had the end of year parties and the 4th Grade put on their play, Pirates From Grammar Island. The kids made their own costumes and had two performances, one for the school and one for the parents. Patrick has been singing the songs for days now. They did an awesome job.
