Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving from our crew. Have a great, safe holiday.

Thanksgiving Turkey

Alison was a turkey in the Kindergarten Thanksgiving play. I have to say she was quite a ham. I can see Drama in her future. Enjoy the video.

Patrick the Director

We went over to a friends house to watch the Cowboys game on Sunday. I let Patrick take my camera out to take pictures. When he was at church Craig and I looked over his pictures and found a few videos.

He is very creative and funny. Make sure your sound is turned on, most of the fun is in the narration.

Chore Charts

I am trying to help the kids become a bit more organized, so while they were at school last week I made chore charts for them. Alison is really buying into it, she loves finishing a task and moving her mark to the completed side. I hope that Patrick will catch on soon as well.

Daisies - Making Butter

Alison had another Girl Scout meeting. This time the girls practiced their Girl Scout Promise and then they made butter by shaking heavy cream in a jar. Alison had a lot of fun. We just need to memorize the Girl Scout words. Ali is still stating the Cubscout Promise that she learned with Patrick's Pack.

Fort Parker State Park

Now that we have the State Park pass from Texas, we have been trying to visit as many state Parks as we can. On the way back from the farm, we pass Fort Parker. We have been meaning to drive through to see if it was a place that we wanted to try out for camping. The sites were a bit smaller, but I think we will be trying it out soon. in the park there is a Cemetery with a historical marker. We got out with the kids and read it to them and talked about the people who were buried there.
Our trip will also count towards work for Patrick's Bear Badge in cub Scouts.

Visit to the Farm

This past weekend we drove down to Houston to visit Grammie and Grampie. There were tons of farm animals to play with. Lots of outdoor space to run in, and fun to be had by all.

Grampie even taught Patrick how to drive Tonka, is 4 wheeler. Patrick thought that was very cool.

All I want for Christmas..........

Well it finally happened. When I took Ali to school, my last thought as she left the car was that she would loose her tooth today at school. She did, and it was in a way that closely followed the foot steps of her mother. She was on the playground talking to someone and not looking where she was going, she ran smack dab into a pole. All of the Kindergarten students crawled around looking for that tooth. The nurse suspects that she might have swallowed it. So the nurse was kind enough to write a note for the tooth fairy.

SnaggleTooth

Alison has another loose tooth, she already lost the other top front tooth, now the second one is loose. It is very wiggly and it has moved into the middle of the huge gap in her smile. She is still a cutie!

Patrick is Thankful for.....

Tonight at scouts I had the kids draw pictures of things that they are thankful for.

Patrick spent quite a bit of time on his pictures. Here is what he came up with.

He is thankful for food, Apples, pineapple, candy canes, turkey, fruit.

He is thankful for God.

And he is thankful for the color plaid. (not sure where this came from)

Veteran's Day

Firewheel Mall had a field of flags in honor of Veteran's Day. I took the kids to see them and to take pictures with the flags. Patrick liked talking to the retired soldier that was at the table, he gave the kids miniature flags. Patrick told us all about why there were 50 stars on the flag, and why there are 13 stripes. He must be paying attention at school.
