I took the kids down to my parents farm for a visit this past weekend. The weather was just horrible Friday during the day, but the rain held off while I was driving. The farm had 3 inches of rain before we got there, so there was quite a bit of mud and standing water.
There were tons of baby animals for the kids to see along with eggs in the incubator. We had a good visit and took our time driving back home on Sunday.
Patrick took a few bird feathers and tried writing with them, he did not have any ink, so he colored the tip with permanent marker and tried to use that.
Saturday morning, everything was still very wet. That did not stop the kids at all.
There were eggs to watch in the house, Patrick was fascinated by them and spent many hours watching them.
One was already starting to hatch.

Grampie's bees were a bit grumpy after all of the rain, this hive split off while we were there. He was able to catch them and move them into a new hive he had on stand-by.
