This Easter we took the kids and my nephew Dyson camping along with another family. It was a very nice relaxing weekend. We went back to Cooper Lake State Park to stay in the Shelters at Eagle Point. The lake level was very low, the swimming area was very muddy so we swam out by our camp site. We had tons of space and lots of semi private beach right in front of our screened shelter. The weather was wonderful until late Saturday night when a storm blew in, we had cool lightening over the lake and tons of wind. A few rain drops fell but all in all it was not bad. The park hosted an egg hunt which was nice but very crowded.
It must be Lady Bug season because Dyson and I quit counting them after 52. Every where we walked or sat had Lady Bugs on it. Each morning there were around 20 Lady Bugs on each tent.
Our tent and shelter, view from the beach.
I loved that the kids could go down to play by the water and we could see them the whole time.
Practicing Kombido and fooling around at the water.
Quiet time with books.
