Snow Again!

It is all the buzz here in Dallas. Every mom board I visit, Facebook post I read, IM sent by friends is talking about snow. It was snowing here in Dallas. This was the third time in December that it snowed. Big fluffy flakes falling in measurable amounts.

The first was an unexpected fluke. We woke up to snow December 2nd. Patrick and Alison had to go to school and it had melted before they got home.

Snow number 2 came on Christmas Eve. The kids got to play in it and it made for a nice white Christmas.

Yesterday we were lucky enough for snow number 3. I like how it comes in bits, without all of the ice and yuck that brings out the worst in Dallas drivers.

Alison had a friend over, so in true big brother style, Patrick made snowballs to taunt the girls.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! We had a few firsts this year. We have snow on the ground Christmas morning. For the first Christmas in a long time, Craig and I were up before the kids. AND none of the toys required batteries and make lots of noise.

Craig and Patrick are playing Mario Kart that Santa brought for the family. Alison is in her room arranging all of her presents. Today is going to be a great family fun day.

Christmas Eve

We have had a very blessed year, full of fun, family and great friends. Even though Dad had a minor brush with one of the cows and an unplanned ER visit, the family was still able to come up and visit us. We had a surprise "Blizzard" and snow to play in.

Do Not Disturb

I went to go check on the kids before I went to bed. I found Patrick on a mat on the floor beside his bed with a note propped up against his pillow. If I knew that was all it took, I would have been posting notes for more sleep everywhere. Maybe I will add a note to my facebook page. I need more sleep too.

Belt Ceremony

Last night there was a demonstration and belt ceremony for Rising Son Martial Arts. Alison and Patrick are now both red belts, they are at the first level for upper belts and could not be prouder.
