Thanksgiving in Colorado

We went to Colorado this Thanksgiving. The weather was awesome and we had a wonderful time relaxing and seeing family.

One of our first stops in Colorado was shopping for winter coats, both kids outgrew theirs last year and we have not had reason to buy new ones in Texas yet. Good call though, because it started to snow just before we left the outlet mall. Marme, you help pick out the BEST coats.

The snow did not last, and the kids had fun running around outside for the rest of our trip.

Craig and I spent a nice night away from the kids with Steve and MaryAnn. Thanksgiving day was spent relaxing, watching the football games, playing Legos and Wii.

Patrick and Alison both loved wandering over the golf course.

Fred and Margaret took the kids to climb Castle Rock, Craig and I went to the Outlet mall and then to lunch to enjoy more kid free time.

Crab walking on the golf course.
 More silliness.

Walking down to see the prairie dog village.

 Sunset from the plane window.

Thank you Grandpa and Marme for a great Thanksgiving.

Just Dance 2

I had an awesome birthday this weekend. My best friends ever came over to hang out on the patio with me. I was also chosen as a host for the Just Dance 2 House Party. House Party sent us a free copy of Just Dance 2 and Just Dance Kids. The game is just awesome, it is for Wii and can host up to 4 people on the kids version and up to 8 on the Just Dance 2. We ran out of space way before we ran out of interest or controllers. In times that are lean I know that I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of friends. Thank you all for coming out and celebrating with me.

As usual, Rachel made the most fantabulous cake.

Together We Can

Alison submitted a painting into the Plano Reflections Art Contest. This years theme was "Together We Can".  Her Painting was titled The Road Trip - Together we can take a road trip and see beautiful sights. She came home with a ribbon for Honorable Mention. Not too shabby for a project she initiated on her own and completed by herself. She is already thinking ahead to next year.

Family Camping - Loyd Park

The weather looked ominous as we drove out Friday evening. The weather reports stated a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms for Friday night, but Saturday was supposed to be clear and cooler.

Friday night was a bit chilly, but everyone had a great time.
We woke up to a gorgeous day.
There were many cancellations at the park for the weekend, we had most of the park to ourselves.

Our sites were great, with a huge field right next to us.

The village, complete with matching tents.

Max and Hayden helping with our lumberjack breakfast.

Friendship bracelets.
Playing games and checking football scores.
