For this July 4th we decided to get together with a few friends and head out to a state park for camping. Our Family Camping has taken on a life of its own. I was just sitting here thinking of all of the numbers:
6 tents
6 state park passes
5 cars
1 trailer
6 adults
9 kids
3 dogs
10 bikes
4 scooters
1 pogo stick
3 EZ Up Canopies
5 ice chests
It is amazing that the weekend went as smoothly as it did. This time we went to Lake Ray Roberts. The trails there are great for the kids and their bikes. We could not have asked for better weather. It did get a bit hot, but we went to the awesome swim area each day to cool off.
The kids also got to go fishing.

The food was incredible. No one went hungry on this trip at all. We also got an ice cream maker to make homemade ice cream.

At night we turned on the lights under the canopies and turned up the music for our dance party. It was a lot of fun to watch the kids dancing.

Everyone was exhausted at the end of each day. The kids took naps in various places throughout the day. I think all of the parents need a vacation from our vacation. At least a day or two of sleeping late to recover.

To me, THAT is exactly what the 4th of July is all about. How fun! I love the pics of the sleeping kiddos - too cute!
Wow, it looks like a blast. I'm so sad we missed out on this one! I too love the pics of the sleeping kiddos.
heck... I was at the club and I didn't get a stinkin' tee shirt.
That and your drinks looked better :)
Looks like fun, sorry we missed it.
