Friday we had the Kick Off to Red Ribbon week at the kids school. I went up to meet them, because we were leaving right afterwards for camping.
The kids each signed a pledge to be drug free and attached it to a bio-degradable balloon to release at school. There is also a note on each card for people finding it to call or email where it was found so the kids could mark it on the huge map in the cafeteria. I was able to find Alison before lift off, but not Patrick.
This coming Week the kids will:
Monday: "Slip away from drugs" (wear slippers)
Tuesday: "Be on the Team that makes Hughston Drug Free. (team shirt or Caps)
Wednesday: "Proud to be an American!" (Wear Red White and Blue)
Thursday: "Drugs have no place in my future" (collage t-shirt or cap)
Friday: "Show you Hughtston Pride" (Hughston Spirit Wear)
