Ice Boats

It has been over 100 degrees many days in a row here in Texas. I am running out of ways to keep the kids entertained and occupied. It is a bit hot to just lock them in the back yard. We spent the morning last week making boats out of ice. The hardest part of it was waiting for the ice to freeze. The first boats that the kids tried to float melted very quickly because they were not frozen all of the way through. The kids each made 2 boats and had fun decorating the sails for each of their boats.
