Today was the first day of summer break. Swim practice started bright and early. Afterwards I asked the kids what we should do. Patrick and Hayden wanted to play baseball in the backyard. Ali and Owen wanted to help. I could see disaster looming ahead. Baseball bats, hard balls and 5 kids in our postage stamp sized backyard. UMMMMM NO.
Plan 2, pack up and go find a park. This summer we are going to try a bunch of different ones out. Our first park was close by. Perfect for a planned at the last minute trip. The older two opted to pass on the playground equipment and head off the the baseball backstop.
