Colorado Trip

The last week of summer is here. We spent it with the kids driving up to Colorado to visit Grandpa and Marme. We divided the drive up over two days so that we could drive through Palo Duro Canyon. 4 of the 6 low water crossings were underwater, so we were not able to see all of the park that we wanted to.

We had a great time visiting. The weather once we left Texas was incredible. Patrick and Alison were excited to see Will and Jared there.

We had a little incident the first full day, so Daddy had to help Grandpa fix the downstairs toilet. After that we played golf, hiked and shopped.

Marme and I took the kids to the Cave of the Winds while Daddy and Grandpa tried to golf again. The weather was a bit rainy and overcast that day. I think we had a bit more fun in the cave, at least we stayed dry.

On the way home we broke the trip up again stopping in New Mexico to see the volcano and to drive through Palo Duro Canyon again.
